The echo that brings the heart home
Hed Beit Media - Connecting communication and rehabilitation, giving a voice to those dealing with post-trauma, in the footsteps of Dor Hanan Shapir, the Rev.
Broadcasting a new beginning
At Echo Beit Media Rehabilitation, we create a unique rehabilitation process for post-traumatic stress disorder through radio, podcasts, and media content – a combination of therapy, professional training, and returning to life through expression, creativity, and teamwork.

The echo of the generation of Hanan Shapir, the fourth.

Some people leave traces that guide us forward even after they are no longer with us.
Dor Hanan Shapir was such a person.
Dor's voice continues to resonate. As a promising young media personality, he discovered the healing power of the microphone during his studies at Sapir College. As a communications student, Dor was part of the Radio Focus team, where he was first exposed to the power of rehabilitative radio and was instrumental in leading its prosperity. Dor, who himself struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder, dreamed of being a partner in a radio station that would give a voice to those who had lost it. Upon graduation, he worked for a large Tracts company as an announcer, and was destined to become the editor-producer of Hed Beit Media Rehabilitative. Dor didn't just talk about the therapeutic potential inherent in the field of media - he lived it. Through his own healing journey, he understood how creating and sharing content through radio and media aids in the healing process and allows a socially isolated person, among other things, to reconnect with themselves and society.
On October 7, 2023, his voice fell silent while he was out dancing with his partner at a nature party, but his vision lives and breathes at the Media House. Today, we continue his legacy, echoing his voice and giving a voice to thousands of PTSD warriors who want to make their voices heard.

An innovative rehabilitation model
At Radio Focus, we initiated an innovative rehabilitation model that positions media – and especially content creation – as a therapeutic and powerful tool. The station was staffed by prisoners who chose to learn to broadcast, edit, and create real, personal, and non-judgmental content. Through the microphone, they found a new language, responsibility, self-expression – and sometimes for the first time, listening.
What did we discover? That content is a restorative substance.
The ability to tell a story, formulate a thought, choose words – creates an internal process of processing, meaning, and a renewed connection to life. The station became a space of change – not only for those who broadcast, but also for those who listened.
Today, we continue this path at "Hed - Rehabilitative Media House," and apply the same approach to victims of post-traumatic stress disorder. Because we all need a voice - and especially someone who listens to us.

With us in control
🎙️ Come be part of the echo – donate now
At the Echo Media Rehabilitation Center, they learn to speak again. Not just into a microphone — but into themselves. Veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder return to normal through voice, creativity, and communication. The radio studio becomes a safe house, a transit station between pain and belonging, between silence and action. Every donation you make helps us fund professional training, emotional therapy, broadcasting equipment, and close human support. Every amount brings another voice back to life.
